Katherine (Kate) Lawless is a Minneapolis-based freelance travel and lifestyle writer. Her editorial specialties include wellness, boutique stays, destination guides, and all things related to lakeside living. Kate has contributed original and sponsored content to BBC Travel, AFAR, the Toronto Star, the Minnesota Star Tribune, Minnesota Monthly, and more. She also does content marketing for a high-end interior design firm and several luxury resorts and boutique hotels.

Prior to 2024, Kate was the managing editor of Group Tour Magazine, a national B2B tourism magazine produced by Greenspring Media. During her time there, her bylines appeared in more than 15 print publications.

Kate earned her bachelors degree in history and journalism from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and is a graduate of the Columbia Publishing Course. She has lectured about networking in regional media markets for both programs.
